Why Spiralize?

If you’re having difficulty getting friends or family on board with spiralization, telling them the following should get them to change their minds:

  • By substituting vegetables in much-loved pasta dishes, you’ll shave off calories in your overall meal without sacrificing flavor. It’s a simple switch that can mean a lot in your overall weight loss journey.
  • Even if you’re not losing weight, most people don’t get enough fruit or vegetables in their diet. By spiralizing, you can easily make a meal of whole carrots, zucchini, sweet potatoes, and other nutrient-rich foods quickly and easily. Reap the benefits of these delicious and healthy foods.
  • Spiralizing is great for those who are on a specific restrictive diet, such as the vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, or paleo diet. It can be an easy way to alter already common recipes to their dietary restrictions.

Overall, it’s cheaper and easier than buying a box of noodles, and more nutritious.

Their spiralizer is no different.

In it, you’ll begin seeing how compact the Lakeland Spiralizer is. All the parts fit easily into the main compartment and should take up no more space than the average shoe box. You won’t need to find a specialized place in any of your kitchen cabinets for this machine since it’s square shape means that it can fit almost anywhere.

Once you’ve taken out all the parts from the main compartment, setting up the actual spiralizer is a breeze. Simply slide in the handle and the cutting blades and you’re good to go. It shouldn’t take more than fifteen seconds.

Once the Lakeland spiralizer is good to go, actually spiralizing your chosen vegetable couldn’t be easier—as long as you cut it properly. It’s recommended that you make the vegetable as cylindrical as possible, so cut off any rounded edges and peel it until it is a cylinder.

The spiked grip of the vegetable holder means that it won’t slip during spiralization. As you start to spiralize, the holder will slide forward as the vegetable gets shorter and shorter. There’s no need to restart because your zucchini fell off the spiralizer! Just keep turning the handle and enjoy the smooth, easy motion of the Lakeland spiralizer. It doesn’t get stuck that much, unlike other lesser quality spiralizers. You’ll keep going until there’s nothing but a small nub left, reducing food waste and getting full enjoyment from your fruit and vegetables.

The four blades to choose from provide a nice variety to spiralized meals. Sometimes, noodles can become a little boring, so switching to ribbons or fine noodles is an aesthetically pleasing way to diversify each meal. The blades themselves are easy to clean. As you’re only spiralizing vegetables, fruits, squashes, and other natural things, simply running the blades under warm water should do. If anything gets stuck to the metal, a sponge with soap will easily wash it away. Just be sure to wash the blades quickly after use, as stuck-on debris can make cleaning much more difficult.

While the machine does have rubber grips on the bottom to prevent slippage during spiralization, you do have to firmly hold the machine down in order to get the best results. This shouldn’t be too much of a concern for most as watching a zucchini be spiralized can be quite relaxing and pleasurable, but it will require some strength to keep the machine in place. Firmer foods such as carrots will require a firmer grip than, say, a potato.

Overall, the Lakeland Spiralizer is a great product, revolutionizing spiralization just like Apple revolutionized cell phones. Using one of these will easily add more fruits and vegetables to your diet without much hassle. Finicky kids will enjoy the curls of healthy foods and the spaghetti-style noodles make vegetables a great base for most easy meals. Just add some sauce, protein, and other toppings and you’re all set.

If you want to lose weight, fit dietary restrictions, or simply add more nutrients to your diet, there’s nothing better than a high-quality spiralizer like Lakeland. It’s cheap, easy to use, easy to store, and easy to improve your life in no time.
